Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
To achieve something extraordinary, working hard for it is a must. Even though, Mt. Everest does not require an extreme level of technical skills as in the Kanchenjunga trek, it is still a very challenging route to climb, even for experienced mountaineers. Therefore, first and foremost trekkers need to be physically fit to be able to get permission to attempt to climb the summit. Environmental factors such as unpredictable weather, oxygen level dropping above 7,000m and various other hazards makes the climb very challenging. Hence, previous experience on rock and ice climbing especially above 7,000m, ascending or descending on fixed ropes along a steep technical terrain is essential.
Best Time to Travel to Everest Expedition North Ridge Tibet
The spring season of March to May is the best time for Everest expedition. The months of April and May and then again October and November are also the classic climbing period. However, the summer months of monsoon rains and the winter months from December to February are considered the most unfavorable time for trekking.
My husband and I embarked on the Everest Base Camp trek with Jangbu during November 2013. It was undoubtedly the most incredible trip of our lives – with Jangbu. So if you are looking for someone with A-class experience and the incredible personal touch, you need not look any further!
