Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is a wonderful short trek in the territory of the Annapurna Conservation Area in Nepal. For the Jomsom Muktinath trek you take six-hour, scenic drive through the mountains from Kathmandu to Pokhara. After one night’s stay in Pokhara, we will take a 25-minute flight to Jomsom, Known as the forbidden kingdom in Nepal it is the gateway to Muktinath and Upper Mustang. Soon after arriving at the airport we will begin our trek towards Kagbeni, a medieval looking Tibetan village.

The Jomsom Muktinath Trekking trail goes alongside the Kaligandaki River, where you will spend a night at the local lodge/ hotel at Kagbeni. The next morning you move up to Muktinath. Muktinath is a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. In Muktinath you will see Tibetan traders and Sadhus (holy men) from as distant as the south of India. Here you visit the grand Muktinath Temple, shrines of various enshrined Gods and Goddess’, refreshing springs and a natural gas spot. Leaving Muktinath you retrace your steps to Jomsom., with a return flight to Pokhara

We, at Into the Himalaya Treks and Expedition strive hard to organize the best trekking programs, placing the highest priority on all the safety aspects.
