The upper Mustang Trek, also known as Lo Manthang Trek, is one of the most desired and sought-after destinations in the Himalayas. It is a fascinating trek that takes you through unspoiled Tibetan villages situated on the northern border between Nepal and Tibet. Am area which was prohibited from foreign visit until 1992, Lo-Manthang is a small kingdom that lies in one of the most scenic and famous regions of Nepal.  The king is still active, suring the trek you will visit the kings palace, surrounded by ancient Gompas and private houses.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Upper Mustang trek requires on average 5-6 hours of walking every day. Activities such as jogging and regular exercise for couple of months before this trek would be beneficial for the physical fitness required for the Upper Mustang Trek as you will be walking at high altitudes. No technical experience is required for this trek however some hiking experience would be beneficial.

Best Time to Travel to Upper Mustang Trek
April to November are best months to trek to Upper Mustang. Upper Mustang is a rain Shadow area, allowing us to do trekking expeditions in this part of Nepal even in the monsoon season (mid June-mid Sept).
